At 10:01 AM, 10:41 AM, and 11:19 AM on Monday, November 30, the District was informed that a 3rd grade student, an 11th grade student, and an 8th grade student had tested positive for COVID-19. The District immediately contacted the Cole County Health Department and an investigation began to determine those individuals who may have been in close contact with the individuals. The 3rd grade student has not been at school since Friday, November 20. School was not in session last week and virtual for grades 2-12 today. As a result of the investigation, no students or staff are considered close contacts. The 11th grade student has not been at school since Friday, November 20. School was not in session last week and virtual for grades 2-12 today. As a result of the investigation, no students or staff are considered close contacts. The 8th grade student has not been at school since Friday, November 20. School was not in session last week and virtual for grades 2-12 today. As a result of the investigation, no students or staff are considered close contacts. The District will continue to work closely with the Cole County Health Department. We will work with the health department on the re-entry of the students into the community and school environment. Please keep in mind that the identity of the individuals will remain anonymous. We need to be respectful of the privacy of the individuals and families. We appreciate your patience. We will provide additional information as needed.
