Parents Please Note-This is the last week for the Bulldog-Leopard Mentoring Center. We will close on April 27 until next year. Thank you to all the parents who brought their children in for extra help!

We thank you so much for your support and participation with Pennies for Patients. Your valuable contributions will make blood cancers a thing of the past!

• When: May 11th or May 18th 5:30-6:30pm

• Where: MISD Natatorium: 1001 N. Holland Rd

• Who: Any incoming 7th or 8th grader interested in joining the swim team.

The MISD middle school swim team is an all-year program offered as a 1st period athletic class. Athletes participating in this program are not allowed to tryout for the team sports that are offered at the middle school (football, volleyball, basketball). Athletes wishing to tryout for a team sport as well as swim will be able to tryout in the Spring. Athletes that make the team will be added to the 1st period swim class and will need to complete the MISD physical form and electronic participation forms. The swim team practices Monday-Friday 7:30-8:30AM at the Natatorium, and a bus is provided to take athletes to school after practice.

Requirements for Try-0ut

Students must be able to complete one length of the pool swimming the Freestyle (front-crawl) stroke.

All roster spots are at the final discretion of the swim coaches. Final rosters will be sent to parents by June 1, 2017

The MISD Clothes Closet provides clothing and various other items free of charge to MISD students. Your assistance is needed so that many more families can be served via this program.

Please have your student check the lost and found for any of their items by Thursday, April 27th. Any items not claimed will be donated to the MISD Clothes Closet on Friday, April 28th.

In addition to the donation of the schools lost and found items, the PTA is asking that you purchase one or more of the following items to be donated to the MISD Clothes Closet.

· Socks

· Underwear

· White T-Shirts

· School Supplies

There will be a drop off near the front office for your newly purchased items. The PTA and the MISD Clothes Closet thanks you in advance.
