MAP Testing (6th/7th) and Horizons Testing (8th)
Next week all of our 6th and 7th grade students will be taking the MAP assessment and our 8th grade students will be taking the Horizon PSAT 8/9 assessment. Both tests will take place on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 for reading tests and Thursday, August 24, 2023 for math tests. Both tests will be administered in the morning and we will follow a delayed start schedule for the remainder of the school day.
For the Horizons test (8th grade) only please help ensure that your student comes with their calculator on Thursday, as they will need it for the test. Additionally, today students were shown how to login to the test when the testing window opens. Please click here to see that presentation.
For more information on both assessments, please see the letters shared by Mrs. Aubrey Allen, Director of Curriculum & Assessment on Friday, August 11, 2023.

Desk of the Dean (Mr. Aiello)
Welcome to the 2023/2024 school year! I am looking forward to a great school year and working with all the great students, staff, and families at MSN! Here are just a few reminders as we start the year.
*Students are expected to be in their classroom prior to the start of the school day, starting at 7:20 am. We don’t want students to miss out on valuable instruction time! When a student accumulates 3 or more tardies, they will be assigned a lunch intervention in the Student Support Center.
*All students in District 95 are required to wear their district provided ID/Lanyard when entering the building. District 95 implemented this expectation to increase safety for students and staff. When a student accumulates 3 or more instances of not having their lanyard, they will be assigned a lunch intervention to help them follow this expectation.
*Please also remember that while students are allowed to have cell phones at school, they are NOT allowed to use their phones in classrooms, the halls, cafeteria, bathrooms, or locker rooms.
