This week we turned in our kindness challenge sheets (if your child forgot, please send in Monday) and so far we are at 213 acts of kindness from our class alone :).
Thank you to our Mystery Hangout leaders this week Mara and Savannah! They led a global connection with a 4th grade class from Alberta, Canada!! Congratulations to our student council representatives: Mara and Ben as well as our member-at-large reps Audrey and Becca! We also had two amazing secret students this week: Patrick and Justin! Keep up the great work everyone!
There isn't much to report this week as we have just been working, working, working. I want to remind you that students have the following for homework each week and how you split that up is up to you.
- Read for 20 minutes daily
- Math facts
- Spelling words
- Language Calendar (1 activity - all are extra credit)
Our AR goals are fast approaching and I sent home mid-quarter reports to make you aware of the amount (or lack of) tests that have been taken. Some students are still reading and many have taken some tests since the update. Nonetheless, please help by asking them if they've taken any tests recently and encouraging at home reading.
This is a reminder that students will be leading their conferences and we have been working hard to get all of our stuff together for those! I sent home confirmations to those that signed up again after our mishap. Thank you for being understanding of that!
