The following career resources offer starting points to begin your career awareness, further exploration, and prepare yourself for a successful career journey.
Some suggestions to get the most from use these resources helpfully:
- Follow specific career pathway resources to find local certification programs, apprenticeships, college programs, and ways for high school students to prepare for career success.
- Take an interest assessment (O*Net Interest Profiler)
- Watch a career video & take notes about the starting point for a career that interests you
- Search for an apprenticeship or job and write down qualifications & responsibilities
- Look for a summer job experience with Michigan Works! or Grow Detroit's Young Talent
- Most importantly, have fun... learn at least one new thing, and share it with everyone at dinner
