Please join us at Carroll on Thursday, August 8 at 4:00 p.m. to meet our new band director, Mr. Justin Dickson. Mr. Dickson has directed high school and middle school bands in North Carolina for 12 years. He composed an instructional method book that is used in band programs around the country. He also created the Bandmate Chromatic Tuner mobile app, which has been downloaded over one million times by music teachers and students. Mr. Dickson is a member of the NC Music Educators Association Technology Committee and presents clinics at the NCMEA annual convention. His bands have received Superior ratings at music festivals for the past seven years. He is also an active performing musician on the trumpet and bass guitar. Mr. Dickson attends Cary Presbyterian Church, where he serves as a musician and directs the volunteer orchestra. He is originally from Winston-Salem, but currently lives in Cary with his wife, two daughters, and two cats.
