If you can believe it, we are saying goodbye to February this week. Time is flying! We have had many sick kiddos over the past few weeks. We hope everyone is starting to feel better! Thank you for wearing your orange to celebrate Mr. Powers' big birthday! The kids had fun celebrating him!

• After School Tutoring begins for those students who are participating (3rd grade M/W, 4th grade M/Th & 5th grade M/W) *pick up is at 3:30pm. Please wait in Lane 1 and your children will be brought out to you.

Tuesday 2/27

• Welcome to all of our companies donating their time and supplies for the Randolph Nature Center! We will have a number of local community visitors working with some of our 5th graders on this awesome project.

Wednesday 2/28

• 3-5 Garden Club @2:30pm-4:00pm

• 3rd Grade Field Trip

• Gifted Referral Forms due to RES by 3:00pm

IMPORTANT INFORMATION/SAVE THE DATE

• March 5, 2024 is now a virtual/asynchronous day as Byrd and Randolph Elementary Schools will be used as polling places for the Presidential Primaries.

• SAVE THE DATE! Let's "Go Nutz for Reading" with the Richmond Flying Squirrels! During the months of February and March, RES students will have the opportunity to complete a special bookmark and earn a FREE ticket to the Flying Squirrels baseball game on Wednesday, May 29th! All they have to do is READ! **Use this link to purchase tickets for other family members early - and help raise funds for our school! *Detailed information will be coming home with your child next week.

Goochland County Public Schools is accepting applications for preschool for the 2024-2025 school year! Goochland has preschool classrooms at each of its three elementary schools. These preschool programs are full-day programs and transportation to and from school is provided. Our preschool programs at Byrd Elementary School are for three- and four-year-olds. Our preschool programs at Randolph and Goochland Elementary Schools are for four-year-olds. You can apply for preschool using this online application.
