AVA Family Update
December 15, 2023
Good morning AVA Students and Families,
I have next week's schedule, our guidance updates, and community notices linked below as usual.
As of this morning, I have emailed all students and families that I am worried about in terms of academic progress. If you did not receive an email about report cards, you should feel confident in your student's progress. We only have a 4 day week next week, and all students, whether in academic difficulty or not, should use the break as an opportunity to improve or get ahead a bit, as the ability to work outside of the normal school day is truly a strength of our program.
My next update will be Thursday.
Thank you for your time.

BCC On-Site Admission - Spring!
Bristol Community College will be returning to AHS campus in Spring 2024 for another On-site Admissions event! We just had 29 senior acceptances through our December event, so any AVA seniors and families looking for a post-secondary option in spring, please join us on Thursday, April 25th! Sign-up to come in the near-future, save the date for now!
University of Alabama Virtual Visit
AHS Guidance Dept. is hosting a virtual visit with the University of Alabama this coming Monday, December 18th at 12:30pm (EST). This school does have a DI ice hockey team through ACHA (not NCAA), so please click HERE for the Zoom link if you'd like to join! All are welcome.
Seniors - College Applications and Scholarships
Kind reminder for AVA seniors and families: Please keep track of any college application deadlines you may have and email Ms Nellie at least 10 school days before deadlines for letters of recommendation and transcript requests. Click HERE once again for the useful list of senior tasks and links to several resources including scholarships.
As always, please email me at nng@attleboroschools.com with any comments, suggestions, and concerns, or to make a virtual meeting appointment. Have a wonderful weekend!
