Massachusetts School Library Association's Bookmark Contest
Congratulations to the following students, who were selected as the Palmer River winners in the Massachusetts School Library Association's bookmark contest. This year's theme was, "My Library Gives Me Superpowers!" These students will each receive a $10 certificate to spend at the spring book fair, and their bookmarks have been submitted to the state level of the contest. State winners will have their designs turned into a real bookmark!

Division 2 (2-3): Ella Denis
Division 3 (4-6): Hope DaPonte
Officer Edo and Officer Aguiar from RPD Visit PRES!
Palmer River second grade students had an amazing visit today with Officer Aguiar and Officer Edo. They listened to a story about K-9 dogs, and got to ask lots of questions about Edo. Officer Aguiar also donated a book to our library and gave the students souvenir Pokemon K-9 Edo cards. What a fun and memorable day!
Please Check the Lost and Found!
Click the images below to enlarge. Our lost and found collection is absolutely overflowing with coats, sweatshirts, water bottles, and hats. We regularly remind students to check for lost items, but these items remain unclaimed. If your child has lost items this year, please click the images below to check the lost and found. The lost and found is located on the stage in the cafeteria, and on display for students every day. If items remain unclaimed, they will be donated during February school vacation week.
Tardy Arrivals
Students who arrive late to school (after 9:05am) are considered tardy. If you child is late to school, we ask that you walk your child onto the school front platform. The school secretary must sign in each student before they proceed to class. Tardy arrivals are recorded on attendance records, and students who are tardy for 10 or more days will receive a letter from the principal's office asking the parents/guardians to contact the school to discuss the issue of late arrivals. Periodic notices may be sent to parents should late arrivals remain an issue.
