Special Winter Break Reading Log
Students will be bringing home a special winter break reading log. Steps will be added to the student’s regular log when we return in January. Students who read 20 steps or more will receive 5 paw points. Students that are at step goal or higher when we return from break will also receive an additional 10 paw points! This is a great opportunity for students to catch up on their step goal. The step goal for when we return from winter break on January 2 is 212.

Arrival/ Dismissal Procedures
Please make sure you contact your child's teacher to let him/her know how your child will normally be coming home from school this school year - pick up or bus rider. If there is a change, please contact the school or write a note to your child's teacher notifying them of the change. Due to safety concerns, we can not simply take your child's word.
All parents/guardians should enter in the first entrance to Maple. For parents that arrive early, the line should begin near the gravel parking lot so that teachers can access the parking spots in the parking lot. At 8:00 the line of cars may pull up to the front doors of the school for students to enter the building. 8:00 is the earliest children may be dropped off at school. All students should be at school by 8:20 when instruction officially begins each morning.
Dismissal begins at 3:05 each day. If you need to pick your child up early from school, you must pick your child up before 2:45 pm. After 2:45 pm, no students will be dismissed early from the office and parents will need to wait in the regular pick up line. All students must be picked up by 3:20 pm.
If you have any questions regarding buses, please contact the Transportation Department at 410-228-4747. Students will have an assigned bus. Bus changes will not be honored this year.
