Program Highlight - FCCLA

Dear Cardinal Family,

In the Collinsville High School FCCLA Chapter, Allie Brackett (Senior), Madison Fountain (Junior), and Lauren Grogg (Junior) received the opportunity to compete in FCCLA STAR Events at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference this summer. STAR Events are competitive events that stand for Students Taking Action for Recognition. Before Nationals, they received 1st place in Promote and Publicize FCCLA at the Regional and State levels. Nationals were held from July 2nd - July 6th in Denver, Colorado, and FCCLA chapters from all over the US were in attendance, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

These young ladies competed against 42 other FCCLA Chapters from different states, where they placed in the Top 10 and were recognized on stage at the STAR Event Finalist Recognition session. Overall, these outstanding young ladies earned 6th place and made many memories as it was the first time Collinsville FCCLA attended Nationals with the opportunity to compete!
