Sunday Message
Week of February 13, 2023
Message from Mrs. Reams
Randolph Families,
If you are watching the Super Bowl, enjoy! I had high hopes for my Giants, but it didn't quite turn out the way I had hoped. Let's have a TEAM DAY to kick off the week! Feel free to send kids in any "team related" attire to school on Monday 2/13. It can be their favorite professional sports team (football or any sport) or have them represent a team they are part of right here in our community. RES spirit wear or house gear is a great option as well!
Please be sure you are monitoring your child's lunch account regularly. Communication will be going out to individual families with outstanding balances via phone call or email in the upcoming weeks. The link to make payments and add money to your child's account can be found under "Useful Links" below.

Gifted and Talented News
How can students be referred for gifted screening?
A teacher or a parent may refer a child for gifted screening. If your child exhibits gifted behaviors and is performing above level, you or your child’s teachers may refer your child as a good candidate. The spring testing window opens February 1st and closes February 28th.
Go to Goochland County Schools Gifted Page. Here you will find the Gifted Referral Process and the Initial Referral Form. This form is due to Randolph Elementary by 3pm on February 28th.
Please contact egemmill@glnd.k12.va.us with questions.
Attention families of 4th & 5th grade Reading Olympians:
The GCPS Reading Olympics Tournament is scheduled for March 30th during school hours. Please continue to encourage your child to read from this selected book list and participate in the Reading Olympics module on Canvas. More information about the tournament will be going home soon. Thank you for your help!
"Spring into STEM"
We are collecting supplies for our "Spring into STEM" House Day on March 31st! If you are interested in helping, please send in items like tape, cardboard boxes, and plastic cups for our STEM Supply Drive. Items can be placed next to the House boards by the library. Thank you! Please see the attached flyer for more information.
