What made you decide to become a teacher?
I was a substitute teacher for four years then became a SPED teacher assistant after college where I stayed in that position until I came to Mountain View in 2021. I decided to become a teacher, because I have always had a passion to seeing students reach the best of their potential and seeing the best in every student. My brother grew up having Autism and I have always had a goal to work with students that have special needs and help meet students needs to where they are at.
What brings you joy while teaching?
To empower my students to grow in their own unique ways. Every student has a different unique personality, and building connections with those students and seeing them grow even in the smallest ways is what brings myself joy when teaching. Leaving each day knowing that I am making a positive impact on these young students lives.
