Cucinella Weekly Wrap-Up #7
Week of October 16, 2023
“THE BEAUTIFUL THING ABOUT LEARNING IS THAT NO ONE CAN TAKE IT AWAY FROM YOU." – B.B. KING
Week Seven:
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) assessments. Our students have displayed perseverance, dedication, and hard work during this assessment period. The data collected will provide valuable insights for tailoring our teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student. We commend our students for their efforts and thank our dedicated staff for their commitment to academic excellence.
As we move forward, we look forward to sharing the results with you and discussing how we can continue to support our students' growth and success. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey.
Last week, Cucinella celebrated National School Bus Safety Week with two important events. The school-wide semi-annual bus evacuation drills and assemblies took place last Thursday. We're excited to share the highlights of the day that underscored the importance of safety when riding the school bus.
The day started off with each bus simulating a rear exit evacuation drill. Led by Mrs. Erbe and district transportation director Mr. Don Todd, our students learned the procedures for exiting the bus safely and efficiently, and our dedicated bus drivers and staff were there to guide and support them every step of the way. It's all about keeping our children safe during their daily commutes.
Later in the day, the students gathered in the school gym to learn about responsible behavior and good practices for a safe bus ride. During the assembly, two of our dedicated bus drivers Mr. Randy Backer and Mrs. Debbie Radossich emphasized the significance of following bus rules, being courteous to fellow passengers, and the importance of understanding emergency procedures. Students were engaged in interactive discussions regarding bus evacuation procedures to ensure that everyone is prepared for any situation.
We want to extend a big "thank you" to our wonderful bus drivers for their commitment to keeping our students safe each day. Together, we are working to make our school bus rides secure and enjoyable for everyone. As we continue to prioritize the well-being of our students, please remind your children about the importance of following bus safety rules. Let's ensure that every ride to and from school is a safe and positive experience.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and stay tuned for more exciting events and updates from Cucinella! If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact me at cperruso@wtschools.org.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead,
Christopher Perruso
