Bus Safety and Appropriate Behavior
Please continue to remind your children what we both expect on the bus. When they see us as a team, it makes the effort that much stronger. I have had to go on to several buses last week due to lots of loud screaming, use of inappropriate words, unsafe behavior (standing up on seats, changing seats while driving, etc.).
Again, please remind your students:
- Remain seated the entire ride
- Use a level 1 voice (conversation volume, no yelling)
- Maintain a safe body (hands and feet to themselves)
- Listen to the driver's instructions
- Keep aisle clear of backpacks and feet
- Face forward
- Use kind and appropriate words
I have asked the bus drivers to continue to communicate names of those students who are not following these rules, so we can communicate with families to determine a plan. Students who continuously demonstrate that they cannot follow expectations, will be asked to take a break from the bus, which we do not want to do. Thank you for your cooperation.
