News from the Principal- November 3rd
Dear Families,
Just a friendly reminder that cold weather season is upon us. Please make sure students are wearing their jackets and other winter clothing like hats, gloves, etc. to school. If your student has lost an item of clothing at school please have them look through the lost and found in each cafeteria.
Cold Weather Policy - Recess
In an effort to give students as much physical activity and fresh air as possible, teachers and staff at AES will attempt to have students play outside throughout the school year during recess times. We will plan to go outside for all or part of a recess period if the wind chill temperature is above 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
To accommodate our winning Phoenix football team, AES movie night is being pushed back to 5:30…. doors will open at 5:15. Come see the movie and then head to the game!!!

Congratulations Mr. Weaver!
Mr. Weaver was presented with the certificate for winning the Music & Arts Grant, provided by California Casualty.
Soaring Student of the Week!
Students at AES have the opportunity to earn recognition for positive behavior during the week. When staff members see great choices being made, students can receive a SOAR slip with specific praise. Every Friday, the names of every student who earned a SOAR slip are read during the morning opening. All student slips are entered into a drawing, and one student is randomly chosen to receive donuts for his or her class.
This week's Soaring Student was Jaxsyn Tull from Mrs. Duncan's Kindergarten class.
Thank you, Daylight Donuts, for partnering with us in this special recognition for our students!
