End-of-Year Schedule

At the beginning of the COVID-19 closure the professional staff missed eight days of work (March 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25). Two of those days were made up over the Easter holiday, leaving us six days shy of the 191 days required under the current collective bargaining agreement. We have designed a schedule for those six days at the end of the school term that we believe will provide meaningful professional development, planning time, and the greatest flexibility to close out the contract year.

Please see below for details regarding the professional development that we will be providing.

On Monday, June 8, 2020, each building principal will hold a virtual professional development day for your building or department. Your principal will share an agenda with you in the very near future.

For Tuesday, June 9, 2020, we will host a planning day that will help us prepare for next school year. Principals will be in touch with more information.

Expect also to attend a faculty meeting with your department or building to close out the school year.

For this day we will provide professional development activities focusing on the theme of employee self-care. Please click on the agenda below.

We have allocated this day as an additional processing day to provide you each the time to complete your progress reports and report cards for the end of the year. There will be no organized or expected activities other than what you need to complete those tasks.

**Report cards must be finished/grades submitted by 4pm. Report cards will be posted for parents, in Skyward, by 4pm on Monday, June 15, 2020.

We would like to provide each of you this day as a “digital clean up” day for the school year. Please feel free to use this time to clean up your digital files and home workspace. There will be no organized or expected activities occurring other than what you feel is necessary.

This day will be allocated as a flexible professional development day as we have done in the past. All activities will be self-directed and can be completed at any time on or before June 12 (at noon) and will consist of the usual opportunities such as completing badges or other training from selections that will be provided. Those professionals who were required to work on the closure days in March will have a reduced professional development obligation for June 15, 2020, to reflect the work that you completed during that time.
