Thank you for a wonderful start to the new year. Griffis is a great place to be. We have the best students, staff, PTO and parents. We would like to thank our Griffis PTO and volunteers who helped in the concession stand on Friday. We could not have done it without you. We would also like to give a huge shoutout and thanks to Jimmy and Nancy Tsai and One Church for catering Panera for our Hospitality Room for our coaches and staff. We had 6 schools competing and we fed them all! Everyone LOVED the food and hospitality!

We are so proud of our students, coaches, staff and parents:) We had so many compliments throughout the day from the other districts we competed with.

It's a GREAT day to be a Fox. GO Griffis!

Our next scheduled Parent Lunch on the Lawn is Friday, February 3rd. We will be monitoring the weather!

Lunch times are listed below. You may bring food for your child or they can get a tray from the cafeteria. You may park in the front or back of Griffis and enter by the soccer fields. Please arrive early so that you have plenty of time to get settled in before your child’s lunch time. We are looking forward to seeing you!

If the weather does not permit, the lunch will not be rescheduled and will resume the next month.

Here is our new updated info for the Father/Daughter Dance! Lee will also be hosting a Mother/Son dance that night as well! For any questions or concerns please reach to Griffis PTO and we will do our best to get questions answered on both sides

We want the BEST!!! We are looking for teachers for next year at CMISD. If you are a certified teacher, will be graduating soon with a teaching certification, or you are enrolled in an alternative teaching certification program, join us for our Teacher Job Fair.

We are excited to announce that CMISD will have their third Elementary Track Meet this year for 2nd-4th grade. This event will be held on Friday, March 31st after school. Try outs for the events will be during your child's PE class. Students who are selected will be sent home with an invitation to participate in the Track Meet.

Students not in the building by the 8:00 A.M. bell are considered tardy. Please refer to our campus handbook regarding our tardy policy. If your child is tardy, please do not drop your child off. For their safety, your child should be signed in. Please come to the front to sign them in.

We are excited to continue this program with Griffis Elementary PTO this coming this year!

The Watch D.O.G.S. Program brings male role models such as dads, stepdads, grandpas, uncles, etc. into the school for the betterment of the school, the students, and the community!!

We ask for a commitment of a partial or full school day just ONCE per year! Of course, you can volunteer more often!

Each month, we will focus on a particular character trait. Mrs. Wygal will give daily announcements regarding that trait to help the students put it into action. Each month, teachers will be looking for positive referrals from their class that they feel has best demonstrated the monthly trait. The trait for the month of February is Respect.
