Updates from Superintendent Radeke
December 9, 2022
Dear Lester Prairie Families,
We make it a priority at Lester Prairie Schools to communicate well so that you are informed about what is happening in our school district and learning community. Our communication avenues include our District Facebook and Twitter, District Website, classroom newsletters, phone calls, emails, face-to-face & virtual meetings and conferences, morning announcements, articles submitted to the Herald Journal, this community newsletter, School Messenger announcements, and more.
We are very excited to offer two new avenues of communication: Announcements from the Commons and School Messenger Texts.
- Announcements from the Commons can be found at the bottom of our District Website. The Announcements are set to scroll every 15 seconds. You can change the frequency by clicking on the three dots or you can scroll manually by clicking on the arrows. With this communication addition to our website, you will be able to see what your child sees during the school day on the TV screens in our Commons area.
- School Messenger Texts: In addition to receiving the School Messenger audio messages for weather-related closings, ELearning, and other important announcements, you are now also able to receive the information via text if you choose. If you have provided the school district with a cell phone number, at 4pm today (Friday, December 9th) you will receive a text from School Messenger. To enroll in the text messaging option, reply Y or YES to 67587 to be included.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
