The Southland Learning Conference is a free event for K-12 educators in Chicago’s “Southland.” The half-day event welcomes all amazing educators from our communities to connect and learn from each other during this celebration of our profession.

Discovery! A Student-Centered Conference is an exclusive local conference drawing educators from Northwest Ohio together to talk about the student-centered changes they’ve made in their classrooms. We’re not just gathering educators, though. In a student-centered classroom, the students and their needs are at the forefront, therefore students are also featured at Discovery! A Student-Centered Conference. Several breakout sessions will feature students as co-presenters, and students will be active participants in the conference. This is a must-attend event if you are looking for inspiration, to grow your professional learning network, or to learn new ways to put learning into the hands of your students!
Best Practices: Math with Tech — August 16, 2018 in Bedford, NH

This day-long workshop is designed to help attendees think about best practices when mixing math and technology together. Presenters will walk through a series of different math activities/challenges (ranging from content areas such as algebra, geometry, data collection, etc). Attendees will actually complete tasks together as students would in class. Then, the presenters will help take the mystery out of how the activity was created from start to finish.

A Wrightslaw training program featuring Pete Wright, Esq., sponsored by The Parents’ Place of Maryland, this one-day conference features special education law and advocacy programs focusing on four areas: Special education law, rights, and responsibilities, tests and measurements to measure progress & regression, SMART IEPs, and introduction to tactics and strategies for effective advocacy. Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates, and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education.
