Here is what is happening in our Building
LHS Homecoming and Dance
Saturday, October 21 is Homecoming !! Please come and celebrate with a parade at 12:00 and the Blue Knight Football game at 1:00. Homecoming is always a great community event that is enjoyed by all.
Later that night , there will be a high school Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 21st from 7:00-10:00 PM in the gym. Tickets are $10 if purchased during the next two weeks during lunches or $15 at the door. The theme for the dance is Las Vegas. If you want to bring a guest who doesn’t go to LHS, please pick up a form from Mrs. Yourk in room B201
Parent /Teacher Conferences
LMHS will have sign up slots available for Parent/Teacher conferences on Tuesday, October 10 by noon. Parent /Teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 18 from 12:00 to 3:00PM and Thursday, October 19 from 5:00- 8:00PM.
Electronic Recycling fundraiser
Hold on to those electronics! The Class of 2024 is holding an electronics drive fundraiser on October 28 and November 4. We will accept computers, printers, phones, appliances, air conditioners, audio and video equipment and more! If you want to recycle these items, please think of saving them for our fundraiser!
National Honor Society Tutoring Program
National Honor Society is running a peer tutoring program for this school year. The program will run every Tuesday from 2:30 - 3:30 in the High School project room and students from both the middle and the high school level are welcome to attend.

Lunenburg High School 2024 Yearbook
It’s time to order your 2024 Lunenburg High School Yearbook. The link below will take you to the Jostens site to order. The current “Back to School” price is good until 9/29.

Attention parents of Seniors: Senior portraits for the yearbook will be due on Friday, January 5, 2024.
Students will fill out their activities and write their blurb on a Google Form to be sent out soon.

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizens Program - The Daughters of the American Revolution is sponsoring a Good Citizens Program. The Program honors one outstanding senior who demonstrates qualities of a good citizen. Based on a staff vote, Italia Meredith has been selected as the Lunenburg High School DAR Good Citizen. Congratulations and Great job Italia!
AP Exams Announcement - This year the College Board’s deadline to order AP exams is prior to November 15, 2023. In order to not receive a late fee penalty please order and pay for AP exam(s) in full between October 4, 2023 and November 13, 2023. The cost of each AP exam is $102.00. Lunenburg High School desires that every student be able to take their AP exam(s). Students requiring financial assistance should contact Mr. Ciullo; jciullo@lunenburgschools.net or Mrs. Foster; triciafoster@lunenburgschools.net, in the counseling office. AP Students are expected to take the AP exam. To register, please visit www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/221255. For additional information and detail, please see Mr. Ciullo’s October 3rd email.
PSAT Announcement - Parents/Guardians of the Classes of 2025 & 2026, you should have received an email from Mr. Ciullo, which outlines more information about the PSAT/NMSQT. If you did not receive the announcement, please feel free to reach out to him at jciullo@lunenburgschools.net.
PSAT Date: October 25, 2023 (During the school day)
Exam Cost: $20. Note, payments not received by 11:59 PM, Friday, October 13, 2023 will incur a $5 dollar late fee per registration.
Online Registration Deadline: October 18, 2023 at 11:59 PM. Registrations that are not paid for by Wednesday, October 18, 2023 will be canceled and exams will not be ordered.

MWCC Dual Enrollment Information Sessions - MWCC offers dual enrollment information sessions the first Wednesday of each month from 6pm - 7pm.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) - The Counselors continued with SEL advisories in classes this week. Each class will have one meeting over the course of Q1.
Post-Secondary Planning - Small group planning seminars have ended. Seniors should be scheduling time to work with their counselors on their post-secondary plans.
Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship Program - Interested in an Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) scholarship. The AFROTC High School Scholarship Program Application deadline is December 31, 2023. Please note, SATs are required. AFROTC is a 4-year program that allows college students to commission as officers in the Air Force or Space Force while earning a college degree. AFROTC teaches cadets about leadership theory, physical fitness, drill and ceremonies, and much more. See Mrs. Foster or visit afrotc.com for additional information.

Upcoming college visits are posted in Naviance. Students must sign up in Naviance. When students sign up, please print or screen shot the confirmation and add the visit to your calendar. Students should notify their Teacher well in advance of the visit. One or two days before the scheduled visit see Mrs. Foster in the School Counseling Office to obtain a Pass. On the day of the visit, please remind your teacher that you are attending a college visit and then show the Pass. Report to the School Counseling Office at the scheduled time and sign-in.
