Bring a Failing Grade to Passing
A Quick Guide
Block 2 is coming!
I understand that sometimes school, classes and grades have had to take a back burner to LIFE.
How to find what assignments to work on / redo.
Step 1
Step 2
Step 2
Scroll through your assignments. Focus on assignments you have not completed. Next, find any tests worth a large amount of points that you may have failed.
Pick the assessments/ assignments worth the most points ad begin completing them.
Making a Plan
When trying to improve your grades the MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember is to ALWAYS complete your daily assignments first.
If you stop doing your daily assignments in one class to focus on another you are going to continue to be behind.
ALWAYS COMPLETE YOUR DAILY ASSIGNMENTS FIRST!
Set asides 1 hour per day to work on missing assignments after you have completed your daily assignments.
Choose 1-2 classes to focus on each day to complete missing work.
Continue this process until your missing work is complete and your grades are passing.
But, I have Credit Recovery classes too!
Important Information
- Zero’s are entered for all assignments from the beginning in credit recovery classes. Each point earned will move you closer to reaching your goal of 60%, in order to pass.
- All assignments are open and assigned from the first day of credit recovery courses. I have students who have completed 3 Credit Recovery Courses in a week. Since there are not specific due dates, students can work on and complete assignments at any time.
- If you have not started them, their grade is a 0%. As you completes work your grade will get higher. Once you earn a 60% you have passed the class and you need to notify your teacher and counselor that you are done with the course.
Set aside 1 hour per day (minimum) to work on your credit recovery courses. Once the grade in your CR classes reaches 60% you no longer have to complete anymore work in the class. You have earned your credit.
How do I determine the number of points I need in order to bring my grade to passing?
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
Multiply the numerator (larger, bottom number) by .6. Next subtract the points you have already earned (top, smaller number) from your previous answer.
That answer will tell you how many more points you need to ern to bring he grade to passing.
