Baseball Tryouts- Jan. 22
Baseball tryouts will be held from 3:30 to 5:00 on Monday, January 22. Students must have a current physical on file to participate. Contact Coach Clark (kenneth.clark@walton.k12.fl.us / room 246) if you have questions.
Softball Tryouts- Jan. 22
Softball tryouts will be held on Monday, January 22, from 3:30 to 4:30. Please note this date is subject to change if there's inclement weather. An up-to-date physical must be on file to participate. Email Coach Fitzgerald (crystal.fitzgerald@walton.k12.fl.us) if you have any questions.
Tennis Tryouts- Jan. 23
Tennis tryouts will be held on Tuesday, January 23, from 3:30 to 5:30. Students must have a current physical on file to try out. Contact Coach Zodrow (zodrowc@walton.k12.fl.us) if you have any questions.
Classic Learning Test- Sign-Up by Jan. 24
The next Classic Learning Test (CLT) will be given at Walton High School on Thursday, February 15. Students that want to take the CLT should sign up in the SSA Office from January 4-24. This test may be used for:
- Florida Bright Futures testing score requirements
- Florida college/university entrance exam
- NWFSC dual enrollment placement scores
- Meeting the algebra 1 EOC graduation test requirement
- Meeting the grade 10 FSA ELA/FAST graduation requirement

Beach Volleyball Meeting/Tryouts
We’re excited to announce that Walton High will be offering a brand new spring sport this year! Girls, are you ready for BEACH VOLLEYBALL?! There will be a parent/player meeting in Mr. Murphy’s room (239) on Wednesday, January 24, at 3:45. An optional clinic will be held on February 1 and 2 from 3:45 to 5:00. Tryouts will be held at the Wee Care Park on February 5 and 7 (weather permitting) from 3:45 to 5:00. Students interested in participating are encouraged to join the beach volleyball Remind using code @7h7g364.

Registration Events for 2024-2025
Walton High School invites our rising freshmen to the following two events:
- Becoming A Brave
Friday, January 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:40 p.m.
This will be a student-only event during the school day. Students will get to tour WHS; meet guidance counselors & administration; visit elective courses; and speak with elective teachers & coaches.
- Spring Into Brave Country
Tuesday, January 30, from 3:45 to 7:15 p.m.
This event is open to parents/guardians of rising 9th and 10th grade students. Each family will have a one-on-one advising session with a WHS faculty member, where academic courses for the 2024-2025 school year will be discussed. We'll also have a WHS sports & club fair, as well as an elective showcase.
SAC Meeting
here will be a School Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting on Wednesday, January 31, at 4:30 p.m. in the library media center.
Cap & Gown Portraits- Feb. 8 & 9
Attention seniors:
Cap & gown portraits will be taken on February 8 and 9. The $20 session fee is due on the day of your appointment. Cap & gown attire will be provided. Sign up on the Class of 2024 bulletin board in Braves Blvd.

Senior yearbook recognition ads are a great way for parents, families, and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones. FCA Breakfast- Sign up by Feb. 9
FCA members that want to attend the FCA Worship Word & Prayer Breakfast at Northwest Florida State College on February 23 should sign up in Ms. Grey's room or at the link below by February 9. This year's keynote speaker is Isaiah Sanders, winner of the 2021 Wuerffel Trophy and US Air Force Academy & Stanford University graduate. We'll leave WHS before school and travel to Niceville by school bus.
Morning Drop-Off
Our back gates will open at 7:15 a.m. each morning to allow parents to drop off their students. Students will be able to enter the cafeteria or back porch area at this time. We will not allow students to enter the building prior to 7:15 a.m.
