Dear AESD Families,

The following update is provided to keep you informed regarding the Anaheim Elementary School District:

COVID-19 Safety

It is important that we all remain vigilant in our safety protocols. CDPH has shifted its masking guidance from a strong recommendation in all indoor settings to advising the general population to use the CDC Community Levels to inform masking recommendations. Other safety protocols include frequently washing our hands and seeking testing when displaying any symptoms of COVID.

Please continue to self-screen your child before coming to school. If your child has any COVD-19 symptoms, keep them at home and report their absence to your school.

Reminder: COVID-19 Testing at Key

COVID-19 testing at Key will end on December 16, 2022 due to the increased availability of home tests and the lack of demand for testing at Key. The District will continue to provide over the counter (OTC) COVID-19 tests to all staff and students on a regular basis. If you need an OTC test, please contact your child’s school.

December 19, 2022-January 6, 2023- Winter Break - No School

The Anaheim Elementary School District will be celebrating the Winter Break and all schools will be closed Monday, December 19, 2022 - Friday, January 6, 2023. Schools will reopen on Monday, January 9, 2023.

The District Offices will be open December 19 - December 22, from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The office will be closed from Friday, December 23 thru Monday, January 2 and reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 with our regular 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours of operation.

Reminder: Expanded Learning Opportunities Program - Winter Camp

Anaheim Elementary School District will be hosting an in-person Winter Camp at all 23 school sites. Anaheim Achieves will be available from 7:30AM-4:30PM for 8 days during winter break. For more information please click on the flyer.

Grab and Go Meals During the Winter Break

The YMCA will be offering Grab and Go Meals at Thomas Edison and Ponderosa Elementary schools during the Winter Break 12/19/22 - 12/22/22 and 1/03/23 - 1/06/23 during the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These meals will be available for anyone 18 years or younger, or anyone with a disability.
