Character

Direct Characterization is when a character's attributes are directly described by other characters or the author. An example of direct characterization is Don Quixote.

Indirect characterization is when a character's attributes are not described to you, so you have to learn them through the character's words or actions. An example of indirect characterization is Pew from Treasure Island.

Round characters are characters that are multifaceted and complex. You know about his personality and he often undergoes changes in his actions or thoughts. An example of a round character is Job.

Flat characters are one-dimensional. They are not given much personality or development. An example of a flat character is Phaethon.
