TECHNOLOGY CAMPUS CHRONICLE
VOL 5 ISSUE 36
PRINCIPAL CORNER
MAY
Dear OSES Families,
This next week is our last days of school. I hope the days are a combination of continued learning experiences and fun social times. Students are not allowed to bring back packs to school, unless a specific need is shared with you by the teacher(s). Students were encouraged to take home unneeded belongings this week.
Students will be recognized for their academic and social achievements in class. Awards will be distributed by the teacher(s). We look forward to again having our award ceremonies on campus next year, and inviting parents once again. Students who are absent this final week, can get their awards or yearbook (if purchased) during summer hours. The summer hours will be soon.
I appreciate everyone coming together to make our Teacher Appreciation Week a success. The amount of support from all stakeholders was unprecedented.
We look forward to wrapping up the school year and beginning to plan for 2023-2024 shortly thereafter.

THIS WEEK IN GRADES K-6
KINDERGARTEN
This week in Kindergarten the students had a blast watching our caterpillars become butterflies. We got the chance to go outside and watch them fly away. The kiddos also enjoyed getting very wet and playing various games at field day! Only 5 more days until summer and we officially have 1st graders. We are looking forward to a wonderful last week of school filled with lots of fun.
FIRST
The end is near! Our First grade scholars have made some excellent growth. Some have matured and even become a little more independent. This week students worked on a memory book. I hope they will keep it and look back at it one day to remember the first grade class. Students had a blast at field day on Thursday. Students have begun taking home all items from the year. Please do not send them to school with backpacks next week. Teachers will gladly accept any help with packing up their classrooms as well as any empty boxes or bins you can spare. Please contact your child’s teacher for more information.
SECOND
Second grade is wrapping up the year with celebration of growth and learning. On Thursday, the students enjoyed outdoor fun and games during field day. At the end of the week students are taking home all of their items from the year. For the last week of school, students may not bring backpacks. Teachers will appreciate help in the classroom, packing up and cleaning so be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher to see how you can help!
THIRD
Mr. Frazer’s third graders have been hard at work on our final, culminating book study of Rebecca Stead’s award-winning novel, When You Reach Me. Now that we’re wrapping up our second week of the book study, my students have all had the opportunity to act as Discussion Directors, which includes writing insightful, thought-provoking questions tied to the reading and facilitating discussions surrounding those questions! Our inference-making skills have never been stronger, and our minds are spinning with ideas of how time travel could affect the outcome of our story!
FOURTH
For this week in 4th grade’s ABC Countdown, we shared our favorite quotes, read by flashlight or lantern, celebrated summer birthdays, tell and show, and field day!
FIFTH
Fifth grade students had a great time at the dance last Friday, they have really GLOW’ed up this year.
On Thursday we are headed to the Main Event for our last field trip of the year, followed by field day on Friday. As a reminder students should not bring any backpacks to school next week.
SIXTH
In Spanish class students worked on Puppet Shows. They have been also working with different lessons/units on Duolingo. Today they are making sugar skulls. Find the pics below…The Pinata winner was LIL Whip! Congrats!!!
