Dear Mountain View Learning Academy Parents,

I wanted to share some exciting news. I have accepted the assignment as Principal of MVLA for the 2021-22 school year. I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of a fabulous program and team.

I come to MVLA with seven years of administrative experience. Prior to joining the team at Creekside in 2017, I was the principal at a neighboring K-8 school. I really enjoyed my time working in that setting.

Mrs. Maier has passed the torch on to me but will be involved with the transition to make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. The classrooms will remain where they are located but there will be some procedural changes including drop off and pick up and employees supporting MVLA.

I will be meeting with Mrs. Maier early next week and will update you on our plan. I have been brainstorming ideas with the MVLA teachers and Ms. Lindsay McDowell will be a support during this transition.

MVLA’s new office team, Mary Barkley (Clerk), Stephanie Green (Administrative Assistant), Angela Shannon (Health Clerk) and I are here to support you and your student. We are excited to be a “family” with two unique and amazing programs. We are looking forward to the 2021-22 school year.
