Week of March 12-18
Spring is Upon Us!

- First grade is also learning about plants, and apple seeds shared by Johnny Appleseed. They will also get to design a habitat for new pandas at the zoo in their Science project
--They have learned so much about how different animals care for their young and how animals protect themselves in their habitats!
- Second grade is also learning about nature from a myth perspective. After reading several myths, they created their own. This week they will continue to learn about natural disasters. (Heavy unit!)
--They will also continue their unit on money in math, maps, and citizenship.

In our fourth-grade class students will study the solar system and examine the force of gravity and determine that gravity pulls on all objects the same. They will also investigate the planets. In math, we are working in Geometry studying angles and lines. Our project for this unit is to create a dream neighborhood by creating a map that shows the studentβs knowledge of lines and symmetry.
- Reminder, students should be reading a minimum of 30 minutes independently for homework daily.
- Daily reading contributes to academic success.
