C-Quest Family Mission Trips
Including children as young as five
"Here are the beliefs and way of life that God our Father accepts as pure and without fault. When widows are in trouble, take care of them. Do the same for children who have no parents. And don’t let the world make you impure."
James 1:27
THE REALITY
THE HOPE
Witnessing physical and spiritual poverty.
In Mexico, many basic needs that Canadians take for granted – clean drinking water, safe and affordable housing, and health and education – are not being met.
According to the World Health Organization, thousands of families in Mexico live on less than $5 per day. Teen pregnancies and youth suicide rates are rising, and for many the most common form of hope is found by dropping out of school, joining a gang, or escaping reality through substance abuse.
However, there is another more disturbing form of poverty that is rooted in hopelessness – spiritual poverty.
Bringing the hope of Christ.
With less than ten percent evangelical Christians, in a largely Catholic nation with strong influence from its indigenous roots, the Yucatán is an excellent opportunity and training ground for the next generation of Christian missionaries to reach the nations with the Gospel message.
C-Quest, together with its partners in Mexico and Canada, desire to reach out to these people and show them the true light of Jesus’ love – His sacrifice on the cross for the sins of the world offering them hope in the midst of their hopelessness.
Making a difference for God's Kingdom.
To address the spiritual needs in the lives of the Yucatán people, C-Quest trains and equips short-term mission teams to share the Gospel message, while serving cross-culturally in partnership with local ministry leaders.
Through four core project areas: Health,Home, Hope, and Heart, teams also help with various projects to meet the basic physical needs of the Yucatán people.
Because of the work of our short-term teams, we have seen lives transformed by the heart of God, and hope restored to the Yucatán people.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
By introducing children to the mission field at an early age, we educate them to be in the world, not of the world. Many parents and educators recognize the pace at which world culture is changing, and they value cross-cultural exposure and learning experiences that challenge young minds to grow deeper, acquire knowledge, and explore the world wisely.
C-Quest provides opportunities for families to get their children - as young as five - involved in missions by really living it. Every C-Quest Family Adventure trip puts kids at the center of the action, providing an experience to help them appreciate how they can contribute to missions – no matter what their age. No skills required. We're simply looking for people who are willing to serve.
Share the story of Jesus through drama, puppetry, chalk art, crafts, and music. Serve pancakes to the homeless, spend time with abandoned seniors, and play games with orphaned children. Plant papayas and harvest tomatoes to help build a local Bible camp. Bring hope to the lost and help to the needy by showing compassion through words, action, and most of all, by demonstrating the love of Jesus. If you have additional skills in carpentry, plumbing, or other trades, we'd love to put them to use too!
EXPERIENCE THE CULTURE
ABOUT C-QUEST
C-Quest ministry base is located in the small village of Progreso, off the Gulf Coast of the Yucatán Peninsula in one of the safest states in Mexico – approximately four hours west of Cancun and 20 minutes north of the state capital, Mérida.
When not at ministry site or project, most of the daily life at the base is relaxing outside, with meals being served buffet-style and enjoyed on the covered deck overlooking the beach. The base offers nine “basic-yet-comfortable” beach-side rooms and eight bathrooms to accommodate double, triple, or quadruple occupancy for team members in a variety of room configurations.
Although not air-conditioned, all rooms have ceiling fans and/or floor fans which keep the residents cool even during the hottest times of the year. There are hammocks, lounge chairs, and quiet sitting areas situated throughout the property for team members to enjoy.
Join us and be a part of God’s work, bringing hope and healing to the Yucatán people.
