JH Boys Basketball Meeting

There is a meeting with Coach McKee on Wednesday, October 12 for all students interested in playing on the JH Boys Basketball team. The meeting will take place at 3:00 pm in the commons area.

PICTURE DAY is Coming!

Just as a reminder for all parents, fall pictures are this Wednesday, October 12. All students take fall pictures because these are the pictures we use for the yearbook.

Veteran's Day Program

Our annual Veteran's Day program is scheduled for November 11 in the high school gym. Our program has shifted from an English 12 project to a multi-disciplinary project. Collaboration between Mr. Zacarello, Mrs. Cutshaw, Mr. Dodson, and Mrs. Laver has made this event possible.

This week our seniors will focus on the personal stories of veterans in their lives. Family members, friends, and community members will be interviewed by our students and they will work to record these stories for our community.

We will be sharing more information as the date approaches!

Coming soon... Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences

At the end of this month, we have parent/teacher conferences on October 26 and October 27. As you know the structure we follow is pretty loose, parents typically move from class to class speaking to each of their student's teachers informally.

I encourage each of you to attend and check in with each of your student's teachers. This time is meant for short check-in meetings as opposed to long conferences.

If there is an issue that will require more time or an increased level of privacy that a traditional conference may not provide, please contact your student's teacher to schedule an alternate time for a private conference.

For spring conferences we hope to be ready to discuss scheduling options for the 2023-2024 school year. This conference set-up will look different than the traditional model that we will use this fall.
