This season is so busy and as we gathered together to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, it was a good reminder to pause and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Sometimes secular celebrations can outway the faith-filled moments. Now more than ever, in a world that is creating more distractions for our students, a Catholic education creates a space that allows them to build their relationship with Jesus Christ and reminds them that all roads lead back to Him.

I encourage all families to be role models for their children by celebrating the Advent season with weekly Mass attendance. Especially the Christmas Mass with the Archbishop, this experience will leave a lasting memory that your children will remember for a lifetime.

The Polar Express Challenge Winners

The first through fifth-grade classes competed in a Reflex challenge to increase their class fluency average by 10% over a one-month period to win a Hot Chocolate, Donut, and Polar Express party. Congratulations to our first and third-grade students! They tied! Mrs. Kerth with donations from our local HyVee grocery store celebrated with hot chocolate, donuts, and a movie party. What a great incentive right before the holidays!
