CityLab Senior Week & Graduation 2023 Overview
Disclaimer: You are not eligible to participate in the Tuesday-Thursday field trips if you still have work to do on Reconnect. DISD does not give refunds.
Senior Week Details
Monday
Meet at CityLab at 9:00 so we can go as a group over to the Lorenzo. You cannot drive there because we will be leaving directly from the Lorenzo to go to our rehearsal.
9:00 - Meet at CityLab and self-propel to the Lorenzo
9:30-11:00 - Brunch (dress nicely!)
11:30 - Depart buses for Barack Obama
12:00-1:30 - Graduation Rehearsal
2:00: Arrive back at CityLab and pick up regalia
Tuesday:
9:30 - Depart CityLab for Main Event
10:00 - 1:30 - Play at Main Event (pizza lunch provided)
1:30 - Depart for CityLab
2:00 - Return to school
Wednesday:
9:30 - Depart for Klyde Warren
10:00 - 1:30 - Play at Klyde Warren (food trucks; school lunch available if requested)
2:00 - Return to CityLab
Thursday:
9:30 - Depart CityLab for Escapology
10:00 - 1:00 - Escape rooms (lunch on your own; school lunch provided if requested)
1:30 - Return to CityLab
Friday:
9:30 - Final graduation practice and fix any regalia issues
If you want a school lunch on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday, you must fill out the form!
Even if you do not go on the field trips, you must be in attendance through May 19th.

Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy
3030 Stag Rd,
Dallas, TX 75241 (Be sure you navigate to the correct Barack Obama!)
The ceremony starts at 3:00
Graduates need to arrive at 2:00 pm in regalia and meet in the library
Doors open at 2:00 and will lock at 2:55.
Any late guests will be admitted AFTER the processional. Please be on time!
Graduation Ceremony Updates

Tickets- 10 Tickets /Student- will be given out electronically ( more info to come)
CEREMONY GUIDELINES and Safety Rules:
Every person including children must have a ticket. ― 10 tickets per graduate. ― Digital tickets will be assigned to each graduate.
The doors will open one hour prior to the ceremony.
Saving seats is prohibited
Doors will close when the ceremony starts. Doors close at 2:55- do not be late
Latecomers will enter in increments and will be ushered to designated seating
Guests will go through security. Dallas ISD has a clear bag policy. Those are the only purses/bags allowed.
Graduates should display appropriate behavior.
Any graduate under the influence or in possession of alcohol, drugs, and/or e-cigarettes (vaporizer) will be escorted from the facility by the Dallas ISD officer and will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.
All graduating seniors will not be able to have any visible electronic device.
The following attire for graduation is mandatory:
Ladies – Cap and gown over dress; dress should not be longer than the gown.
Dark shoes – no tennis shoes or athletic shoes, no corsages, gum or candy.
Caps are to be worn flat on head; nothing should be allowed on mortarboards except tassels.
Gentlemen – Cap and gown over slacks and dress shirt.

The Dallas ISD graduation staff and / or police and security may refuse admission to (or may expel) graduates and patrons for disruptive or disorderly conduct. ― Noisemakers, air horns, balloons, silly string / confetti, lighters, matches, laser pointers, weapons, back packs, large purses, bags, food and drinks, tobacco products (including e-cigarettes), flower arrangements, signs, large banners, tripods and professional cameras are prohibited.
Persons including graduates found with these items will be escorted from the venue.
Statement of Decorum
Your Graduate has asked that you treat this exercise with the utmost respect. Every graduate deserves to hear his or her name announced. Please refrain from using any noisemakers, horns, bells, yells, or any other distractors that are not conducive to maintaining the dignity and grandeur of this event. We ask that you hold your applause and congratulatory yells until after all names have been called so that the next name called can be clearly heard. Your assistance will help provide the very best graduation for each student. Thank you in advance for your cooperation to ensure a dignified graduation ceremony
