Patriot Peek at the Week News

We had an excellent week at Wolf Ridge as everyone seemed to be refreshed from spring break. Students will be able to invite a special person to eat lunch with them and play at recess during their grade level's assigned date/time this coming week. Families are also encouraged to join us for the Wolf Ridge Color Run on Saturday, April 30th. While you are not guaranteed a shirt, you can still sign-up for this great event. See below for more information about all of our family engagement events and be sure to mark your calendars. I hope you will join in the fun!

• TUESDAY 10:35-11:20 = 1ST GRADE
• TUESDAY 10:50-12:00 = 2ND GRADE

• WEDNESDAY 10:55-11:40 = 3RD GRADE

• THURSDAY 11:35-12:20 = 4TH GRADE

• FRIDAY 12:15-12:55 = 6TH & 7TH GRADE

If you have already registered, you can pick up your race t-shirt and color packet on Friday, April 29th at Wolf Ridge from 3:00-6:00 PM. (You can also pick it up just prior to the race.)

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2nd-6th. At Wolf Ridge, we want to celebrate our entire staff and show them how much we appreciate everything they do for our students. Please consider writing a thank-you note to one of our staff members. You can also help by donating one of the items below. All donations should be turned in to the office by Friday, April 29th.

Students in Grades PK-1 = Donate packaged breakfast items (granola bars, muffins, etc.) or a gallon of juice

(We plan to treat our staff to breakfast on Monday to kickoff the week.)

Students in Grades 2-3 = Donate chips and salsa

(We plan to have a fiesta lunch for staff on Cinco de Mayo!)

Students in Grades 4-5 = Donate packages of apples or crackers

(We plan to have a caramel apple bar for staff on Friday and a few charcuterie boards, too.)

Students in Grades 6-7 = Donate cans of soda or bottles of water/tea

(We hope to stock the teacher's lounge fridge with drinks for our staff.)

The school calendar for next year has been approved by our Board of Education. The school calendar for the remainder of this year is linked at the bottom of this newsletter. The last day of student attendance for this school year will be May 23rd. Students will be dismissed early on this day at 2:00PM. Don't forget that students will have spring break from April 11th-April 18th. Students will return from break on Tuesday, April 19th.

30th = De'Marion Collins, Grayson Graham, Jonathan Hanks, and Benjamin Manar

8th graders will be honored at a promotion ceremony on this day at 6:00 PM at BHHS.

We will have a special awards ceremony at Wolf Ridge at 1:00 for our 6th & 7th grade students. Family and special guests are invited to attend. (8th grade will receive their awards at the promotion ceremony on May 12th.)

We will have a special fun day on this last day of school for students at Wolf Ridge.

Summer learning this year will be based on need. Invitations will be mailed to specific students over spring break. Please accept or decline your child's invitation by April 20th.

Depending on the number of students that decline, invitations will be sent out to other students this week.
