A Note From Kindergarten Teachers
Please take the time to like and follow both the Fred Douglass and Jacksonville ISD Facebook pages. You will likely receive the most up to date information there.
The 2-week paper packet passed out Monday, April 20 is available as a PDF to download and print. You may also be able to pick up a packet in front of Fred Douglass.
We encourage you to document activities you are working on with your child. Please keep the logs and any paperwork your child has completed.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have and don't forget to share pictures with us to include in the weekly newsletters!

The Cat in the Hat (English and Spanish)
Questions to Ponder:
- Is this story fiction or non-fiction? How do you know?
- Where did the story take place (setting)?
- Who are the main characters?
- What did the Cat in the Hat want to do in this story?
- What happened at the end of the story?
- How did the Cat in the Hat solve the problem?
Just for fun, here's a directed draw video for an easy cartoon Cat in the Hat.
