Children's Journey Preschool

A giant shout out to all the families who have helped us and supported us through this strange time! While we will be resuming Preschool activities next week, we understand that some of our friends won't be joining us right away. We'll miss our friends, but we understand. We intend to maintain some digital resources and videos from the teachers while we balance day to day operations.

For children who aren't currently attending: we will also have packets available for toddler 1 - VPK next week. Please email if you'd like to request a new packet. We will have them available mid-week next week.

This week we'll be working hard on our Mother's Day surprises and we'll have fun exploring slime sensory! We'll be reading "The Little Engine that Could" and "Things that Go". We're so happy to be back!

Bible Story: Proverbs 31:26

This week we'll be working on our Mother's Day projects, working with puzzles, and practicing sing-along songs. We'll also be reading "The Earth Box", "Going to the Doctor" and "Little Pea". We'll be working on driving toy cards and crawling through the tunnel as well. We're so proud of our friends who have mastered taking steps, sitting up, and waving!

This week we'll be working on our Mother's day projects, creating a name train, making an airplane craft, and participating in a transportation crafts round up. We'll also be reading "Things that Go!", "The Magic Train" and "Come Fly with Maisy".

Theme: Lions and Tigers + Mother's Day

Bible Story: Be Kind to one Another (Eph. 4:32)

This weel we'll be making lion handprint art, participating in a lion haircut activity, and making our Mother's Day gifts. We'll be reading "Animal Friends", "Who's Who at the Zippity Zoo" and "Lion's Haircut". We'll continue to work on our taking turns skills and we will review our safe hygiene habits.

Bible Story: Jesus Loves Children

This week we will be creating some special items for our mommies, sponge painting, and making sun catchers. We'll be reading "Mommys", "Bear in a Square", and "Animal Friends". We will continue to work on our Balloon Breathing technique, our Wish You Well song for friends near and far, and our cutting skills. We can't wait to see what you've been learning at home!

Bible Story: God is Good

This week we'll have fun participating in a "tight rope" balancing activity, olymic ring toss game, and "flaming" hoops crawl/climb. We'll also be working on our special Mother's day items. We'll be reading "The Circus", "Circus Fun", "Every Mom is Special", and "Mama, Do You Love Me?". We will continue working on keeping the germs away through good hygiene habits, giving our friends privacy, and potty training. We can't wait to see everyone to hear all about your adventures at home!

Theme: Ocean Animals and Mother's Day

Bible Story: God Made the Ocean and the Dry Land

This week we'll enjoy ocean animal sensory bins, participate in a "save the fish" activity, making a seashell collage, and completing our Mother's Day projects and surprises. We'll be reading "In the Deep Blue Sea", "Five Dancing Dolphins", and "The Rainbow Fish". We'll continue working on our healthy hygiene habits, counting to 20, and identifying larger numbers. We can't wait to see and learn all about your adventures at home!

Theme: Moving On + Mother's Day

Bible Story: God Made the Animals

This week we'll be trying new things (fruits and veggies), making coconut trees, and working on our Mother's Day crafts. We'll read "Giraffes Can't Dance", "Alphabet Book" and "All About Bats". We will continue reviewing blending two phonemes to make words, creating and extending patterns, personal space, and healthy hygiene habits. We look forward to hearing all your stories about what you've been learning at home!
