Breakfast Count Procedures
I wanted to give you all a heads up on how we are going to handle breakfast count this year. After discussing with Wanda Lance, we thought it would help the time efficiency in the morning if students did not enter their numbers. Wanda and her staff are willing to continue entering numbers as they have in previous year. When students come in to their homerooms, part of their morning routine needs to be indicating whether they ate breakfast that morning. It can be as simple as clips with a yes/no choice. Then, homeroom teachers will check those students on the spreadsheet provided. Place spreadsheet out in hallway with lunch choice count.
Curriculum & Instruction
Refer to the first 15 days of implementing Daily 5 attachment from last week. This is a great resource to use to help establish Daily 5!
As you are developing and finalizing your classroom schedules, you need to designate times for reading workshop and writing workshop. Chandra can answer any questions regarding this, if needed.
Flipped Meetings/PD
In an effort to be time efficient with our BOY schedule, I am sending information for you to read prior to Wednesday (see attachments). Mr. Freeze and I will discuss any questions during our breakout sessions on Wednesday.
