We've had a great start to the school year! Here are some important reminders:

  • Make sure to check backpacks! Lots of important information is coming home in newsletters and forms! Make sure to return any forms to your child's teacher!


  • Kindergarten and 1st grade families, please make sure you have signed up for Seesaw. This is how teachers will communicate with you. If you need help, please reach out to your child's teacher.


  • School Supply Fee is $15.00. If you have not paid this fee, please send it to school as soon as possible.


  • Car rider drop-off is in the back of the building. Do not drop off students in the front or side of the building. Front of building entrance is for walkers only.

  • You must have a car-rider tag to pick up from the line. Otherwise you will have to go to the office to pick up your child. Please let your child's teacher or the office know if you need a car tag.

  • The school parking lot is a CELL PHONE FREE ZONE! It is against the law to use your cell phone while in a school zone. There is a $250 fine for the first offense.

  • Student Conferences will be Monday, September 27th and Tuesday, September 28th. more details will be coming home soon.

Upcoming Dates

School Shirt Orders are due Friday, September 3rd. Check your child's backpack for the order form!

CKE Breakfast & Lunch

This year, students receive both breakfast and lunch for free! However, it is still very important for our district for you to complete the free and reduced lunch form. This helps report information about our district. Use the buttons below to complete the form and see the breakfast and lunch menus for the month!

Meet Our Staff!

Cindy Covington

Mrs. Covington is our principal. She came to Springdale in 2016 and opened Knapp Elementary. Previously, she was the principal of Allen Elementary in Silom Springs. She has been in education for 28 years. Her job is to keep kids safe and learning to support adults in meeting students' needs. She loves to building relationships with students, staff, and families.

Kendra Waind

Mrs. Waind is one of our instructional facilitators and has worked in education for 16 years. She has been at Knapp Elementary for 5 years. As an Instructional Facilitator, she supports teachers with curriculum, student management/engagement, or whatever is needed to meet the needs of their class. She also serves as our building dyslexia interventionist where she oversee screening of students and provide interventions for reading.

Jessica Hunt

Mrs. Hunt is our full time counselor. She has worked in education for 5 years and has been at Knapp Elementary since January 2021. She helps support the social-emotional needs of the school so that all students can feel safe, encouraged, and ready to learn. I teach counseling lessons in the classroom, run small groups, and see students individually.

Raleigh Myers

Mrs. Myers is our Special Education Clerk. She helps the special education teachers with scheduling conferences. She also keep track of all of the special education paper work and students that enroll and leave the school. She loves assist the teachers by keeping track of dates, processing legal paperwork, and contacting parents.

Brooke Gray

Mrs. Gray is our Librarian. She has worked in education for over 25 years and has been at Knapp for 6 years. She helps facilitate access to information with both students and teachers in a wide variety of formats. She sees all grade levels for instruction, curates a school-wide digital/print collection of literature, implements and promotes reading engagement and enrichment.

Londa Kever

Mrs. Kever is one of our instructional assistants. She has worked in education for 33 years and has been at Knapp since it opened. She used to teach high school English. She works with students who are below grade-level grow in literacy. She also teaches literacy enrichment lessons and supports Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers in numerous ways.
