Southwest Region: Had their first camping run called Texas Tease! It was a great weekend of camping and meeting others from a multitude of MAsT groups! MizLilly, Zap, Señor Jaime and Nurse V all outdid themselves with a relaxed atmosphere, fun games, and amazing food the entire weekend!
MAsT: Austin's Señor Jaime & NurseV
Señor Jaime and V have lived a fulfilling, reality-based life together as Master and slave for over five years. V was raised on health food and German dungeon porn, while SJ's kinks were fueled by DID bondage and teen years abroad. Together, they share more decades of kink and alt-sex experience than they sometimes care to admit. They are both proud and happy members of the Sankofa Leather Tribe. SJ and V host events at The WhatKnot, their home, bondage bungalow, and hypnosis hideaway. They are currently enjoying almost three years of the privilege and responsibility of co-directing the MAsT: Austin charter, of which Jaime is an original charter member.

Almost 6 years
How long have you been a MAsT member? What are your role(s) in MAsT?
Senor Jaime was one of the charter members of MAsT: Austin when it was formed over 10 years ago. NurseV joined MAsT: Austin in 2013.
What benefits have you found being a member of MAsT?
MAsT provides a unique venue in which we can discuss, learn, and share perspectives and concrete tools for sustaining and growing the Master/ slave dynamic. Part of what makes it unique is being able to use unvarnished and common language and ideas without fear of misunderstanding, exaggeration, or judgement.
What are some of the highlights in your power exchange journey?
One highlight is the collaborative creation of our household manual. Another is achieving a variety of personal, professional, and academic goals in alignment with Master’s will and the household vision. Most recently, our marriage just over one year ago has marked another milestone in the deepening of our commitment to each other and to the values that help guide our household.
What’s a low moment in your power exchange journey and how did you recover or what did you learn from it?
We encountered a variety of challenges upon moving in together, which led to trust issues. We got through it by taking responsibility for our own baggage and past as well as by v leaning into obedience, and by Senor Jaime strongly maintaining the dynamic even in the worst of times. We were also reminded by our leather family that the most important thing that we have is each other.
What’s an interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?
We both have relatives that were concertmasters in major orchestras, and they knew each other for more than 40 years before we ever met.
Do you have any advice for people new to power exchange relationships or new chapter directors?
For people that are new to M/s, respectfully seek out mentorship and guidance. One great way of finding such guidance is by joining and participating regularly in your local MAsT chapter.
As far as advice to new chapter directors, understand that you don’t have to go it alone. Remember to let others work for you in meeting the regular reporting requirements and other duties required of a MAsT chapter director whether it be your slave or a valued MAsT member.
What’s your favorite quote and why?
“Ithica” by the Greek poet Cavafi is one of Senor Jaime’s favorite poems. It’s too long to quote here but easy to find on Google and speaks to the wealth of experience found in the journey rather than the destination.
NurseV offers the following by sufi mystic Rumi:
There is some kiss we want
with our whole lives,

Master David Cook: 1940 - 2017
Master Tip: 1945 - 2018
Master Tip passed away on September 17. He was the director of MAsT: New York City. He received the Master Heart Award in 2009 and the Sir Steve Community Service Award in 2016. He was a member of the Iron Guards and GMSMA (Gay-Male-S/M Activists). He served as Tally Master for the Northeast M/s Contest since 2010 and has spoken and taught at events around the country. He was always active in the community and helping others.
slave Bit: January 16, 1966 - September 23, 2018
Slave Bit lived in Hamilton, Ohio, and was the GLLA Ohio slave for 2017 & 2018.
Bit entered the leather and BDSM scene in 2004 and was collared to Master JL of Dayton, Ohio, until his passing in 2011.
Bit self-identified as a slave and was a founding member of MAsT: Dayton, former member of Sterling Shadow Club of Dayton, Ohio, NLA-Columbus, and Scorpius of Southwest Ohio.
Her hobbies in and out of the scene included ghost hunting, belly dance, horses, puppies (both kinds!), fire play, knife play, and bar nights at her home bar, Argos in Dayton.
Together with her Master, Ms. Lyn, they hosted dinners during the holidays for anyone who wanted to enjoy the fellowship of chosen family. They periodically hosted dinners and meetings for their leather club Scorpius, and offered a safe haven for those in the community in need.
Never forgotten, our little Bit.
