Congratulations to all of our ladies in Cosmetology as they put together some very impressive Mannequin's this year for the 2020-2021 Mannequin Challenge. This years contest was held virtually but the Mannequin's will hopefully be on display in the upcoming weeks for individuals to come and see.

Last weekend, The Digital Goats learned about the 2021 First Robotics Competition through their annual Kickoff event. Every year, the First Robotics competition is a new challenge and on this date, teams learn what the competition will entail and how to play it. To learn more about this years competition, you can check out the kick off video online. Good luck this year to all of our Digital Goats, we are looking forward to following all of your successes!

Great work by the OWL highlighting our award winning Early Childhood Education program in their December publication. The Early Childhood program has continued to report to the Early Childhood Center on a daily basis to work in their classrooms and are continuing to press forward in gathering enough hours to meet their certification requirements.

I know it is hard to believe but we are already into our recruitment season for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Students, please make sure you talk with your counselors about getting signed up for your desired programs! If you have questions about any of our 25 Career Programs, please reach out to Mr. McClatchy!

We would like to wish our leader, Dr. Rogers, a very Happy Birthday this weekend..... We hope your weekend is not too Vanilla!

As we started 2nd semester on January 4th this week, I wanted to remind families that Walker Career Center has been granted permission to continue operating all of its 2-4 hour programs under the current hybrid structure. Students will attend in person instruction based upon their last name. Students with the last name A-K will attend in-person Mondays and Wednesdays. Students with the last names L-Z will attend Tuesday and Thursdays. Friday’s will alternate with A-K attending Friday, January 8th (see Calendar below).

Safety precautions will remain in place across our campus, so we expect no interruptions in programming as we move through the spring semester.
