Corron Mission Statement
From the Principal
Thank you to everyone that joined us for our student conferences last Thursday and Friday. It was nice to see so many families in the building over the two days. Our students had spent so much time thinking through their goals and preparing for their conferences - I could tell they were excited to share. This level of involvement in the conversations will have a positive impact on learning for each student.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure success for all of our Corron students!

Veterans Day 2023
Veterans Day Celebration--On Friday, November 10th, starting at 1:30 p.m. Corron Elementary School will host a Veterans Day assembly to celebrate those individuals who have given so much for the freedom we enjoy. Our 5th grade students will lead our assembly to honor the veterans within our Corron community.
We need your help at home to prepare for this observance:
1. We would like to honor our veteran family members who have served, or are serving, in the armed forces. We will be creating a video slideshow of photos of our community veterans. We encourage you to email 1 digital picture of your veteran(s) to our LRC assistant: Karen.McVicar@d303.org. Please include what branch of service they were in and their relationship to our Corron student(s). Digital photos of veterans must be submitted by Monday, October 30th. (Please note: This is the absolute last day we can accept pictures. No last-minute pictures will be accepted this year.)
If you submitted a picture last year, and would like us to use it again this year, please email Mrs. McVicar to let her know.
2. If your Corron veteran is able to attend our assembly on Friday, November 10th at 1:30 p.m., please notify the office at 331-228-6900. We would like to send them an invitation and be prepared to recognize and honor them appropriately!
Thank you for supporting us in showing appreciation for those who have given so much for our freedom.
Drop Offs
Please make sure that your child leaves the house with all of their belongings: lunches, water bottles, instruments and backpack with device/homework. The office can be overwhelmed at times and the teachers appreciate not having instruction interrupted. Thank you for your help in this matter!
Parent Education Sessions
District 303 is pleased to present its lineup of Parent Education sessions for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Parent Education series (formerly Parent University) includes informational meetings and workshops intended to empower parents and guardians to support their children’s academic, social and emotional needs. Become informed on specialized topics, engage in two-way dialogue with speakers and fellow parents, and become a support resource for others.
Sessions for this school year will focus on bullying prevention, addressing anxiety, and include film screenings and discussions about the impact of screen time and cultural awareness. The schedule also includes college preparation workshops hosted by our high schools. Sessions were selected based in part on feedback from District 303 parents.
Explore the full lineup of sessions here. Signup forms for each session will be made available closer to the session dates. New this year, you can also register for Parent Education notifications and receive alerts as new information and session recaps become available.
