MAINTENANCE / GROUNDS / TRANSPORTATION

  • The grass, clover, and weeds are growing so our grounds guys are staying busy with mowing, edging, trimming, and spraying.


  • Jim has installed the wiring for the new LED signs at Bailey Inglish. These signs should be installed soon.


  • New door alarms were installed to doors that are not hallway corridors at BHS to sound when doors are held open.

  • The Finley-Oates gutters have been redirected to the underground pipes and the guttering company repaired some other guttering issues around the campus. We had several downspouts that had fallen and gutters that needed rivets.


  • We have received the LED lights for the tennis courts and they will be installed soon.


  • Friday, April 28th - Happy School Transportation Appreciation Day! Everyone in the department enjoyed a tasty, Chick-fil-A breakfast. (See pictures below.)

TECHNOLOGY

  • The Tech Department have delivered and setup all the new desktops for the secretaries and receptionists throughout the district.

  • Testing season technology needs were met and no issues were experienced. We always want the best testing environment for the students. Our Team prepared technology for STAAR, ACT, and AP tests.

  • Our Team met with Aruba Access Point Customer Service to harden our wireless security and Digital Watchdog to learn about their security camera options to potentially improve our current system.


  • Our team attended Region 10 Tech Department Security Upgrades Training on Friday, May 12th.

  • Summer plans are being made: backup upgrades, devices repair, firewall improvements, security camera upgrades and many others just to name a few.
