Happy Friday South Community!


The 3rd Annual Fins & Flames Trunk or Treat was a tremendous success this past weekend. We had tons of families, staff and community at our event this past weekend. We even had a South trunk win best trunk! Congrats to the CandyLand trunk!!!! Check out a few pictures from the event below. Our week concluded with our SHARK Assembly and students of the month.


We have a number of events coming up over the next month both in and out of school. Next week, we have a professional development day for staff on November 7th (no school), Veterans Day (Observed) on Friday, November 10th, Family Math Night with Dr. Laura Callis and our South School and District Math experts on November 16th, Early Release on November 22nd (12:20 dismissal) and Thanksgiving Break on November 23rd and 24th.

Update from Nurse Kaplan

As a reminder from Nurse Kaplan, student safety and wellbeing are some of our top priorities. We are still waiting for updated 2023-24 school year medication for many students along with current doctors orders. For students to participate in activities like field trips they need to be cleared by Nurse Kaplan.
