BCSVA Middle School Weekly Update
April 10th-14th
WELCOME BACK FROM SPRING BREAK!
As we return from spring break, I am hopeful that you found this time with your kiddos to be fun, (projects around the house, travel, or just straight-up resting!) to re-energize for the final push to the end of the school year!
Itβs also a great time to celebrate our accomplishments as a school family. Our students and staff are working harder than ever, and we are grateful for our parentsβ and guardiansβ support at home. Our strong home-to-school connections will help our students thrive, and your involvement in your childβs educational journey is truly valued.
Sparkle of the Week!

Focus on student growth & NC Assessments:
End of Year (EOY)- MAP Screenings!
What is the NWEA MAP test for?
**Using MAP Growth as part of a comprehensive and balanced assessment plan, teachers can confidently tailor instruction to challenge every student, whether they are below, at, or above grade level.**MAP Growth student reports also present realistic learning goals by subject areas so that,
through a teacherβs guidance, students can individually see their progress and be inspired
to take charge of their own learning!
