Weekly Announcements & Updates

*Attention Lee Students! There will be class trips for the 9th, 10th, & 11th grades the second week of May. The Freshmen trip will be to tour Alabama A&M University & visit the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, the sophomores will be to going to Montgomery to visit the Legacy Museum & Memorial & Tour Alabama State University, and Juniors will be going to Nashville to visit the National Museum of African American Music & Tour Tennessee State University. If you want to apply to go, you must complete the google form in your class Schoology group by THIS Wednesday.

*Attention Lee High School Students! Are you a leader? SGA (Student Government) and Class Officer Applications for next year are due Wednesday, April 26! Please pick up an application outside of the counselor’s offices or the library.

*Attention Lee High School Students! The 2023 Lee's Got Talent Show will be May 12th at 1:00 in the theatre. Auditions will be Thursday & Friday April 28-29 at 3:50pm in the choir room. Prizes are $75 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd.

*Senior Night for Lee Boys and Girls Soccer teams in on Thursday, 4/27 after the girls game. Come support our five seniors: Davin Taylor, Oniesh Tomlinson, Jesus Hernadenz, Aveen Martz and Rita Clark. The girls play at 5:00 and the boys play at 7:00.

*Seniors, your $100 mandatory graduation fee is due. This fee covers your cap, gown, stole, diploma, diploma cover and tassel. You get to keep all items. You can pay online at myschoolfees.com or see Mrs. Fields or Ms. Swopes to pay in person. Cash, check or money order is accepted. NO payments via paypal or cashapp. All other school fees must be paid before May. If you need to know what you owe, see Ms. Swopes. Allowable honor society cords for graduation can be ordered with Mrs. Fields in the library. They are $10 each.

*Attention Seniors! Academic & Arts Signing Day is coming up on May 1st. Seniors who have received any scholarship that can be applied to the college of their choice are invited to participate. See Mrs. Fields for more information.

*Senior Awards Day is Sunday, May 7 @ 3 pm. Mark your calendar now for this mandatory event. Dress Code - for Awards Day & Graduation - white dress or dark slacks with white dress shirt, no sneakers, or flip flops.

*Yearbooks are on sale now! The current price is $40 for standard and a $45 for engraved. You can pay online at MySchoolFees or in person to Ms. King during zero period ONLY in room 124.

*CHECK STUDENT FEES ONLINE! LHS student fees can be viewed and paid online anytime by visiting https://secure3.myschoolfees.com select AL-HUNTSVILLE CITY-LEE HIGH, and register as a New User. You will need your student’s PowerSchool ID Number. You may also pay by cash or check at the school. Remember to check fees periodically for any changes that may occur. Shout-Outs

  • Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from last week! Kamiyah Summers comes to us from the Academy for Science & Foreign Language Middle School. Here at Lee, she is a Volleyball manager, runs the 4x100, 100, 200, 400, and the 4x400 on the Track team, participates in JROTC, and will be on the Blue Diamonds Majorette Team next year. In her free time, she enjoys calling her friends and talking on the phone. After graduating from high school, she wants to go to college to become a lawyer or a psychiatrist. Her favorite teacher here at Lee is Ms. Renaud because she is easy to talk to, nice, and she helps you if you need it. Mamediarra Ngom comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee, she is on the Academic Team, the Yearbook Crew, JROTC, and she has auditioned to join the Technical Theatre Magnet next year. In her free time, she enjoys participating in community service and going on walks. After graduating from Lee, she wants to to go Spelman College to become a surgeon. Her favorite teacher here at Lee is Ms. King because she is nice and talks to her when she sees that she's feeling down and brings her mood up. Shout-out to both of them for living out our #FamiLEE values so well!
  • Shout-out to the Percussion section of the band for performing at the Academy for Academics and Arts last week to help them celebrate the end of ACAP testing!
