Bus Status has a new App, just in time for the new school year! Ensure you download the new App from the App Store or Google Play Store and select your preferences before September 29 to continue to receive notifications.

The new App has improved speed and reliability. It will look and function the same as the current Bus Status app.

The Bus Status app currently installed on your phone will not update automatically to the new version of the app. You must go to the App Store or Google Play to download the new app to receive notifications after September 29.

Field Trips, Hot Lunch, Family Events and More are not possible without our School Council. We are actively looking for new members with a positive mindset who believe in team work. By volunteering not only do you enhance and support your child’s learning experience, but also the experience of all students and our amazing staff. Lend a hand to make EOLRS the best it can possibly be.

Our School Council meets approximately once/month for a hour. The first meeting/AGM will be held on September 18 from 9:00-11:00 am at the school as there is more information to cover at this meeting. All are welcome to attend!

With the recent decrease in air quality due to the forest fires, we want to share with you the guidelines we are following when making decisions about student safety. We are utilising the Air Quality Health Index as a guide. Health Canada recommends that if the AQHII is above “7”, outdoor activities must be moved inside and strenuous activities such as games/practices should be cancelled. For a further breakdown of recommendations, please see the following link: AQHI Health Messages. Because we strive to ensure a safe environment for all our students, we will err on the side of caution when making decisions around air quality. 40 Developmental Assets - Empowering Youth with Capacity for Greatness!

Learn about the 40 developmental assets. When you child has more assets, it can help them grow up caring healthy and responsible.

Our Lady of the Assumption annual yard sale will be held:

• Thursday, September 7, 2:00-7:00 pm
• Friday September 8, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Saturday September 9, 8:00 am to 12 noon.

On Friday there will be a bake table and will include produce and preserves and Saturday morning the Velasco family are serving and selling spring rolls. We have also been approved for a 50/50 draw which started Aug. 26.

Our Lady of the Assumption Parish would like to ensure that our parishioners' registration information is up to date and that all parishioners are registered. Registering will keep you up to date on current happenings. You will also be eligible to vote on anything in the parish that requires a vote. Later in the fall there will be a presentation on the possibility of a new church and at some time there will be a vote. Only those registered will be able to vote."
