Welcome to January!
Mrs. Hendren's 2nd Grade Class
Updates for 1/22-1/26
I hope you all have thawed out from the artic cold we have had! Here in school, we are continuing to work on mid-year assessments and are looking forward to seeing your child's progress so far this year! We will continue to work on reading and math assessments for this week.
Also, this will be a shortened week this week with students being out on 1/22 for a teacher work day. Report cards will also go home this week. Please sign them and return them.
As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out on Dojo! Thanks!
Updates for 1/15-1/19
This week will be a short week with Monday 1/15 being MLK Day-- no school. I hope you enjoy time with your family. This week, we will also be working hard to get ready for middle of the year assessments. Your child has done a wonderful job of working hard since coming back from Christmas break and they are ready to rock it! Middle of the year assessments will be taking place for your child sometime between 1/17 and 2/7 in both reading and math. I am looking forward to seeing how much they have grown so far this year!
As always, if you have any questions, please let me know!
Updates for 1/8-1/12
We had an awesome start to our new year last week and I am looking forward to what the rest of January has to bring! We are starting on some addition and subtraction techniques in math and your kids are working hard to understand. I am so very proud of them!
There is sickness going around still. Please make sure to let me know if your child is absent due to sickness. I worry about them when they are not here and I appreciate a short note to let me know how they are doing.
Also, please make sure to send a coat with your child every day. We go outside every day unless it is actively raining and there are some cold days in the forecast.
As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know!
