Design and create a unique reversible wool felt jacket or coat for any occasion with Elisabeth Berthon! A bespoke piece, whether it is a jacket or a coat, is designed with the unique body of a woman in mind. Imagine wearing a piece of clothing that is exclusively tailored to your body shape and suits you to perfection.

In this workshop, you will learn how to design and make your own daily-to-wear wool felt coat or jacket without any seams in a 'less is more' style, in one or maximum two colours. The focus will be on style, not on decoration. Using standard dress making techniques, you will create a pattern that is tailored to your exact body shape.

DAY 1: Theoretical lesson on sewing and production of dress making patterns. Resist felting technique - creation of a resist template: overview of one of the techniques used for felt clothing. Wide choice of collars, sleeves, pockets, lengths and widths available to match the figure of each participant. During the production of one or several patterns, you will have the chance to think about your own individual design. Drawing up the design.

DAY 2: Taking of measurements, making of each individual resist template. Production of flat feltusing wet felting technique.

DAY 3 & 4: Making of the jacket or coat.

DAY 5: Finishing touches which makes the difference!

All workshops are being taught in Dutch and/or English. We will serve fresh coffee and homemade lunches, with healthy salades, warm dishes, farmers bread and several Dutch cheeses. The day will start at 10.00 untill 16.30 hr. On request there will be a transfer from the Bijlmer Arena Station on the days of the classes.
