Welcome back from Thanksgiving break!

We hope every student had a wonderful break with their families. All staff is extremely thrilled to see all the smiling faces in school and online.

January 18, February 8, and February 15 are school holiday. Due to these Monday's being holidays, we have decided to adjust the schedule for Monday/Tuesday students to prevent more learning loss. All students who usually attend school Monday will attend class the Wednesday of these weeks. If there are any questions, please call the office (661)248-6441

During the cold weather our Student Council will be selling Hot Cocoa for $0.50. Students may purchase a hot cocoa during break, lunch, and after school.

Gorman Elementary was excited to have everyone come to our to-go feast! We know this year's feast looked a little different, but we couldn't be happier to have sent home a Thanksgiving Feast. Thank you to all who donated; it could not have been done without all our families, staff, and students putting in so much effort. We look forward to the day our feast will be in-person again.

Winter Break is already so close!

Winter Break is December 21 through January 1. Gorman has persevered with help from our tremendous staff, students, families and community. The students and families are why we continue to push to do better. Our hope is that this break is a happy, fun and restful for all. Happy Holidays Everyone!

We look forward to seeing you on January 4 for Monday/Tuesday group and January 7 for the Thursday/Friday group.

We started our year off distance learning. Slowly we were able to move to a hybrid model with students coming twice a week. We also gained a tremendous teacher in Mr. Kiouses. His dedication to our students here at Gorman has been nothing short of a blessing. Gorman Elementary would like to extend our hearty thanks to you Mr. Kiouses, and to all our staff, for working round the clock to make sure our students have a bright future ahead of them.

If your child isn't feeling well, please do not send them to school. If you child has a temperature of 100.4 or higher, they must stay home. Even students with a cold, must stay home.

If while at school, students have a temperature of 100.4 or higher and/or have other symptoms, they and siblings at school will be placed in the isolation room and parents would need to pick up the students immediately.

As of December 9, Gorman School has had ZERO reported cases of COVID-19. Thank you to the Gorman community for your hard work in keeping everyone safe.
