Terrific Trice Twirlers

The Terrific Trice Twirlers did a great job on Friday night during the last Arkansas High School home football game of the season. The game was a nail bitter resulting in the Razorbacks losing in overtime. If you were there you not only got to see our T3 team twirl their hearts out, you also were entertained with fireworks each time the Hogs scored. Great job ladies and Coach Do for an awesome performance.

Trice Cafeteria Staff

ELEOT walkthrough tool

This year the Trice administration team as well as the District administration will be conducting classroom walk throughs using the ELEOT (Effective Learning Environments Observation) tool. The ELEOT is a tool used to conduct meaningful classroom observations focused on student engagement. The observations are focused on seven key learning environments that promote effective learning and student success. The purpose of these observations are to ensure that every student in our school and across our district has access to and an opportunity for rigorous lesson designs, learning experiences, and high expectations for student success.

Many of you may remember the CWT tool used several years ago. The ELEOT tool is similar that. As a district we are all using the ELEOT tool and we have all observed, scored, and calibrated the rubric as a leadership team to ensure that there is consistency across the district. The observations and data collected during the observations will be used to inform planning of professional development, peer learning, analyze formative trends. The information will not be used in as an evaluation of an individual teacher. The ELEOT observations are not part of the TESS system.

Teachers will be given the opportunity to learn about the ELEOT and the 7 learning environments that are evaluated in this weeks CIA meetings. Each teacher will be given an observation rubric and then be allowed to score, discuss and calibrate the results as a team. Again, we are working to improve our educational experiences for all our students, not just for Trice. Using this tool and the data we collect will help us achieve our goal of providing the best learning opportunities for every student in TASD.

PBIS Survey

As you know we have been using aspects of PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) this year along with our Leader in Me initiative. The district behavior management team has decided to implement PBIS district wide. In order for it to be as effective as possible we need your input. Please complete this brief survey. There are 10 questions, 9 of which are multiple choice and one open response if you have additional comments. Please take this survey by Wednesday October 25th, we have a deadline for gathering information and getting the application in by the first of November.
