Still a Couple of Training Opportunities Left for October!
Join us on Wednesday, October 27th for GoGuardian training in the morning from 7:20 am to 8:20 am for K-5 and 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm for 6-12. The GoGuardian training is available for your MSD Tech PD hour and OSPI STEM hour. On Friday, October 29th, we will be offering a training on a variety of extensions to help with accessibility. Accessibility with Extensions will be offered 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm for 6-12 and 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm for K-5. This training is only good for OSPI STEM hours and CANNOT be used towards your MSD Tech PD hours. Look for new days and times for our November PD offerings coming soon!

Evaluating Websites: What Students Need to Know
Author: Who wrote the site and what is their background to provide good information?
Timeliness: When was the site published and updated? Is it regularly being maintained?
Purpose: What was the reason the site was created? Does it contain bias?
Accuracy: How correct is the information given? Are resources for information provided?

Melissa just joined MSD this summer, but previously worked for the Everett School District for 17 years teaching elementary technology as well as served as a CTE teacher at the middle school level. She loves learning how technology can work to engage and motivate learners.

This is Amy's 8th year with MSD working in many secondary settings in the classroom, the library, as well as teaching summer school. Amy has always loved to learn more about tech and enjoys helping others integrate technology into their classrooms.
